Here at AAMCO, we’ve been repairing transmissions for more than 50 years, ever since Anthony A. Martino set up a Northeast Philadelphia shop in 1957. He called his shop AAMCO based on his initials, and the fact that it was listed first under Auto Repair in the Yellow Pages.

Things have changed a little since 1957. We’ve grown from a small transmission specialist to one of the nation’s leading full-service auto service brands.
